Mild and balanced, yet strong. This is how the gourmet recognises the best coffees from Brazil. A must in every good espresso.
Detailed description:
This Brazilian coffee is grown in the south of Minas. The vegetation, soil, climate and water there are optimal for sustainably managed coffee plantations. Processing: The warm climate allows the dry processing method, i.e. the coffee cherries are spread out and dried until a residual moisture of 12% is reached. The fact that the beans are dried in the cherry gives them their special aroma. The Guaxupé is the largest private cooperative in the world and comprises about 12,000 members from the growing regions in Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo. Through its network of warehouses, branches and receiving stations, the cooperative is able to store 5 million sacks per harvest for export. Early on, the Guaxupé recognised the great importance of fine Arabica coffees and therefore established its own speciality department. The farmers are supported not only through financial means, but also through agricultural assistance programmes such as soil analysis and training.
